Arlene Gause-Jackson

 

Arlene Gause-Jackson is a performance poet, and writer with over thirteen years of experience. As a twelve year veteran of performance poetry, she has participated in numberous statewide events including: Texas Circuit's Downtown Literature Series, City of Austin Public Library's Affirmative Action Committee inner city programs, Meet the Artist Public School Program, and the yearly International Women's Month Festival. She is an Author's Guild Member. She was educated at Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan. In 1981 she became a Certified Radiological Technologist. From 1981 until June of 1988 she held numerous medical positions as Radiologist Technologist in various medical settings. She skillfully utilized this medical knowledge in creating Howling Against The Wind.
